The TVs are HD Ready, though the spec sheet at present makes no mention of whether they're 720p, 1080i or 1080p capable (I suspect 720p). They also feature a DVB-T digital tuner, have three HDMI inputs and two SCART sockets.
Sony are also making a big deal of their one-touch BRAVIA Theatre Sync feature, working its way onto a wide variety of new BRAVIA products. This uses the HDMI connections to send control signals between the various units in a home theatre system, so it's then possible to press play on the BRAVIA BD/DVD player remote control and have all the other equipment correctly switch inputs and settings.
