Panasonic TC-32LX700
Video Features:
Format Control
Select TV models from Panasonic have the ability to resize the image on screen to further enhance viewing enjoyment. Simply press the button marked FORMAT on the remote control to choose from Full, Zoom, Just, 4:3 or 16:9. This feature helps reduce or eliminate the presence of black bars when watching wide screen or standard (4:3) video material. This year, Panasonic now has a mode called H-Fill. This new mode will help adjust the image for optimum viewing, even when watching HD Channels.
Colour Temperature Control
This convenient feature allows you to quickly adjust the white balance toward either blue (cool) or red (warm).
Component Video Inputs
On HDTV monitors, component video inputs provide outstanding resolution and colour accuracy and can accept either progressive or interlaced signals from a variety of sources including DVD players and DTV set-top receivers/decoders. The three-wire connection is comprised of the luminance signal (Y) and two colour difference signals, B-Y (PB) and R-Y (PR).
Digital Comb Filter - Motion-Adaptive 3D-Y/C
A comb filter is used for RF and composite video signals only (standard 480i signals from a VCR or analog cable TV). The comb filter provides an accurate means of separating colour and luminance information from a television signal. As a result, it improves overall colour sensitivity and image clarity. Selected Panasonic televisions use a Motion Adaptive 3D-Y/C Comb Filter. It is designed to eliminate hanging dots, and works on diagonal patterns to eliminate the colour rainbow effect in closely spaced patterns, by compensating for the motion that occurs between fields. As a result, bright colours and fast action scenes are displayed with incredible clarity.
EDTV Display Capability (480p)1
Certain Panasonic TVs enable you to view enhanced-definition TV programming in the 480p signal format. In order to do so, the TV must be connected via its digital component video inputs (Y, PB, PR) to a DTV set-top box and switched to DTV mode. A DTV signal must be present in your area and the set-top box must be tuned to the proper channel. An external over-the-air antenna may be required. These televisions will also display 480p signals from a progressive scan DVD player at full resolution.
HDTV Display Capability (1080p – HDMI Only)
Certain Panasonic TVs enable you to view 1080p High-Definition video content. In order to do so, the TV must be connected via its HDMI input to a 1080p source (such as a Blue-Ray DVD Player, video game system or multi-media PC) and the source must be setup to output a 1080p video signal.
High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)
HDMI is an uncompressed digital video and audio interface that is the new standard digital connection between home theatre devices, such as a set-top box, DVD player or A/V receiver, and a digital television. HDMI offers exceptional video quality while supporting multi-channel digital audio and extended cable lengths of up to 15 metres.
Audio Features:
Artificial Intelligence Sound Control
This technology controls the volume level automatically to prevent wide variations in volume among different TV channels and types of programming.
BBE High-Definition Sound2
This impressive sound system provides true linear phase correction and dynamic amplitude compensation. With BBE, speech intelligibility is improved and the dynamic range of musical passages is restored to provide outstanding, natural sound.
BBE ViVA HD3D Sound2
This new surround sound system creates an authentic and exciting 3D-enhancement effect from stereo speakers while preserving the clarity and definition for which BBE High-Definition Sound is noted. BBE ViVA offers exceptional sound stage imaging, helping to ensure optimal clarity for centrally staged audio material such as dialogue.
Optical Output for dts and Dolby Digital 5.1-ch Decoder
Many of today’s movies rely on a soundtrack that envelops the viewer to bring all of the action to life. That’s why our Triple Play and TV/DVD Combinations have an optical output for optional dts and Dolby Digital 5.1-ch surround sound decoders. They provide six discrete channels of exhilarating digital audio that deliver the ultimate sound experience.
Simulated Surround Sound
Now you can enjoy surround sound without an elaborate home theatre system thanks to the Simulated Surround Sound feature. It provides a cinema-like experience on systems with only two speakers, when playing any Dolby Digital-encrypted DVD or Video CD with two or more channels.
Stereo/SAP Reception with dbx Noise Reduction
The built-in stereo decoder can receive both TV stereo and Secondary Audio Program (SAP) telecasts where available. A dbx noise reduction system helps provide clear, crisp sound with proper stereo separation.
